Coalfire to Present at New York State Bar Association Annual Meeting

Co-Founder and Chief Strategist Kennet Westby to Discuss Cyber Protection and the Ethics of Protecting Digital Assets

Westminster, CO – January 8, 2018 –Coalfire, a trusted provider of cybersecurity advisory services, today announced that Kennet Westby, Co-Founder and Chief Strategist of Coalfire, will present on a cybersecurity panel as part of The New York State Bar (NSB) Association’s Annual Meeting in New York, January 22 to 26.

The presentation, “Law Firm Cyber Protection and the Ethics of Protecting Your Digital Assets: Everything You Need and Want to Know,” will take place on Wednesday, January 24, from 10:40 a.m. to 11:55 a.m.

This interactive program includes an overview of client and law firm business and ethical risks, addresses law firm vulnerabilities, and will discuss guidelines and advice for practitioners to be proactive in minimizing vulnerability to cyberattacks. Panelists will discuss ways to protect a law firm’s information and client’s information while complying with ethical obligations. Attendees will learn to recognize scams, spoofing, phishing, malware and viruses while providing you with the practices and procedures available to seek to prevent these risks. Westby will also discuss available cyber-liability insurance options and what cyber-liability coverage does and does not cover.

He will provide practical and actionable steps that will include recommendations to leverage advisory and testing services to protect digital assets.
