Coalfire Is a Proud Partner at National Health IT Week

Westminster, CO – September 18, 2017 –Coalfire, a trusted provider of cybersecurity advisory services, announced that the company will be a partner at National Health IT Week, an awareness week offering all healthcare stakeholders an opportunity to express the benefits that health information technology (IT) brings to U.S. healthcare.

During National Health IT Week in October, Coalfire will also host a webinar featuring a panel of security professionals from health IT organizations called “Securing Health Data Throughout the Care Continuum.” The informative session will take place on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. ET/11:00 a.m. PT. Moderated by Andrew Hicks, Managing Principal at Coalfire, the panel will discuss how their cybersecurity programs are securing data throughout the care continuum to protect patient data and ensure patient safety. Panelists will cover how prioritizing security at their organizations provides confidence for their customers as the threat landscape increases year over year.

Initiated in 2006 by the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), National Health IT Week has emerged as a landmark occasion for using health IT as part of the overall solution to improve America’s healthcare as a bipartisan, federally led, market-driven initiative.

The Week consists of events across the country, including National Health IT Week participants — vendors, provider organizations, payers, pharmaceutical/biotech companies, government agencies, industry/professional associations, research foundations and consumer protection groups — all working together to elevate national attention to the advantages of advancing health IT. This year’s events will begin on October 2nd and end October 6th.
