Many organizations believe the difficult part is over once the authorization is granted. While you may not need to devote as much time or energy to testing and documentation, it is just as important to ensure your environment stays compliant with your authorization and you maintain your certification as a service provider, or it could be revoked.
The actions that were taken to achieve the initial authorization must continue to maintain your authorization, with one exception: You now have to manage and report your Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M).
